Yoseph leads LAVA, a venture fund investing in startups building Africa's financial and trust infrastructure - a continent with the world's fastest growing economies, populations, and tech adoption. He also runs magma, a founder program developing exceptional entrepreneurs and software engineers.
Previously, he co-founded and served as CEO of the Edmund Hillary Fellowship and the Global Impact Visa, an innovative immigration program with the New Zealand government that attracted 500+ elite entrepreneurs and investors globally. Earlier, he helped scale Inflection, a Silicon Valley software startup. Originally from Ethiopia, Yoseph has lived and worked across five continents and holds an AB from Harvard University.He currently splits up time between Africa, New Zealand, and East / Southeast Asia.
