Robin is the Ralph Metzner Distinguished Professor in Neurology and Psychiatry, Director of Neuroscape’s Psychedelics Division at the University of California, San Francisco. Previously he was the Head of the Centre for Psychedelic Research, Division of Brain Sciences, Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London, the first such Centre of its kind. He has designed human brain imaging studies with LSD, psilocybin,  MDMA, DMT and 5-MeO-DMT and pioneered clinical trials of psilocybin therapy for severe mental illnesses.

Robin, now aged 42, was made full Professor aged 40. He has over 140 published papers and the highest citation rate in his field. In 2021 he was named in TIME magazine’s ‘100 Next’ which showcases 100 people who are shaping the future.
