Jerry is a musician and a music producer. He was a member of the Modern Lovers and the Talking Heads. The Talking Heads’ video, Wild, Wild Life won Best Group Video at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1987 and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Their album, Remain In Light, and film, Stop Making Sense, were certified into the National Registry for Recording and Film Registry by the Library of Congress. 

Jerry has released several solo albums and produced some of rock and roll’s best-known bands including Live, Violent Femmes, Crash Test Dummies, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, No Doubt, and Foo Fighters. In addition to Stop Making Sense, Jerry was instrumental in making the films, 10 Days Out, Blues from the Backroads, and Take Me to the River.

Beyond music, Jerry is a visionary entrepreneur. He has co-founded innovative companies like RedCrow, The Main Stage, and Orphirex. RedCrow is a direct investment platform for innovative healthcare startups and was recently acquired by Alira Health. The Main Stage is an interactive platform that provides a media rich pitch experience, a CRM, and a data vault. Orphirex is developing life-saving antidotes for snake bites. Jerry was also a co-founder of GarageBand and served on the board of directors for MicroUnity Engineering, iLike, IODA, VenEarth, and Carbon Gold.

Jerry graduated from Harvard College and received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design. He is also a father of three children and has resided in Marin County, California, since 1995 with his wife.
