Adam is the David Dolby Distinguished Professor in Neurology, Physiology, and Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. He is an Executive Director of Neuroscape, a translational neuroscience center that studies neural mechanisms of perception, attention and memory, with an emphasis on the impact of distraction and multitasking on these abilities. Since 2008, he has explored how we may enhance our cognitive abilities, and/or prevent them from declining in various neuropsychiatric conditions, and he is a preeminent thought-leader on the use of interactive environments to achieve cognitive enhancement.
Adam is also the co-Founder, Chief Scientific Advisor and Board of Director member of Akili Interactive, a prescription digital medicine company whose innovation includes a prescription digital therapeutic video game to help children with ADHD.
